Now that all the votes have been counted for the 2022 Democratic Primary, it's time to express my profound gratitude to the voters of District 22 for re-electing me for the 9th time to be their Delegate to the Maryland General Assembly. It is a great honor that I truly appreciate.
I am so grateful to my family, friends, and supporters who helped me in this very challenging election. My husband, Neal Conway, whose support has never failed; my daughter, Teresa Healey-Conway, who grew up as a child of the legislature was an outstanding campaign manager who took care of so many details and gave me daily pep talks to keep me going; and my son, Robert Healey-Conway, who delayed the celebration of his personal milestone as he graduated from his apprenticeship with the IBEW: I cannot thank you enough for all your love and support.
I want to thank my colleagues in the General Assembly and I especially want to express my gratitude to Speaker Adrienne Jones and my District 22 teammates - Sen. Paul Pinsky and Delegates Alonzo Washington and Nicole Williams - I am grateful for your support and look forward to continuing our work together for the people of our District and the entire state of Maryland.
Special thanks to my friends in organized labor and others who came through when they were most needed. I will not forget your support.
Now we must take a deep breath, and move forward to help make "All Blue in 22" a reality in November. I will be helping my colleagues across the State who have competitive races in November, and I will be working hard to make sure that we elect Democrats Wes Moore and Aruna Miller as Governor and Lt. Governor, Anthony Brown as Attorney General, and Brooke Lierman as Comptroller.
